Digital Conversion Project

The Sports Library includes a growing collection of digital documents published on the foundation’s Web site. The Search page enables you to search for any document in the digital library.

The digital library includes periodicals, research reports and special projects. For a complete list, see our Publications and Research Reports pages.

Another component of the foundation's digital library development is an ambitious project to convert historically significant Olympic publications to digital format. Several Olympic Games official reports, and back issues of the International Olympic Committee’s publications, Olympic Review (1901-1998) and Revue Olympique (1894-1998) are now available. More back issues of these journals and other official reports will be added in the future. You can get more information about these documents in the Olympic Information Center.

Also available are the back issues of the Journal of Sport History  (1974-1998), the North American Society for Sport History Proceedings, (1973-2000), and Sporting Traditions: The Journal of the Australian Society for Sports History.

Recent additions to the digital library are Olympika and Olympic Research Symposium Proceedings, from the International Centre for Olympic Studies in London, Ontario, and Sport Management Review from the Sport Management Association of Australia and New Zealand.

All of these documents are published as Portable Document Format (PDF) files. To view the documents, you will need to have the Adobe Acrobat Reader installed on your computer.
